AWIS Weather Forecast: Widespread Frost Mid-Week

Wide-spread frost events are expected in the nights from Tuesday (3/7) to Wednesday (3/8) and Wednesday (3/8) to Thursday (3/9). Especially in all of VA and North, Northern NC, Western NC, Piedmont all the way to the Coast on Wednesday night.
Please remember that we are still early in the season. But some growers might be already above and beyond 10% bloom. Mostly with Sweet Charlie, Rocco or possibly Chandlers. ONLY if you are at more than 10% bloom, frost protection methods (covers or sprinklers) are advised for both nights.
Protection is advised for the night Tues-Wed for Northern and Central NC
Protection is advised the night Wed-Thu for Northern, Central and Eastern NC.
